Role Overview:

As McAfee continues to evolve into a consumer-centric business, it is looking to mature and elevate its Product & Design organization into a strategic, proactive, and customer-obsessed arm of the business. As an ecommerce Product Director, you will be responsible for leading the product strategy and execution for our ecommerce platform. This role will oversee the product management team, drive product innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly products that meet the needs of our customers and business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and finance to ensure that subscription payment solutions meet the needs of both the company and its customers. Your goal will be to drive the strategic direction of checkout and payment products, optimize their performance, and ensure their successful implementation and adoption in the market.

This is a Hybrid position located in San Jose, CA. The expectation to collaborate with the team at our San Jose office is 1-3 days per week. We will only consider candidates within a commutable distance to San Jose, CA and not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

You will be responsible for identifying customer checkout/payment behaviors, directing product strategy and roadmap prioritization, hypothesis driven A/B testing, and tracking product performance.

  • Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the overall product strategy for the ecommerce platform including cart, checkout and payments.

  • Align product initiatives with the company’s vision, mission, and business goals.

  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.

  • Product Development : Work closely with engineering and design teams to define product features, user experience, and technical requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new subscription payment products or enhancements to existing ones.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy : Develop and execute go-to-market plans for the commerce products, including pricing, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities in the commerce landscape. Built collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps.

  • Performance Tracking & Customer Feedback : Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of commerce products and use data-driven insights to optimize their performance. Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation in subscription payment solutions.

  • Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the subscription payment industry and ensure that subscription payment products adhere to these standards.

About you:

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on commerce, especially checkout and payment products

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Strong understanding of subscription billing models, payment systems, technologies, and industry trends

  • Extensive experience in shipping consumer products and/or consumer internet products

  • Passion for collaborating with the engineering teams and obsession about customer needs, partner needs, and developer needs

  • High emotional intelligence and self-awareness

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
